The Max Charter School 5K Race Committee in conjunction with Bayou Runners Association (BRASS) will host a 5K Run and a 1 Mile walk. The event is open to all runners and walkers. The proceeds from this event go directly to the Max Charter School. The Maxine Giardina Charter School, approved by BESE for Grades 1-8 in 2007 and located on the Nicholls State University Campus in Thibodaux, LA, is committed to meeting the unique educational needs of students with dyslexia and other language-related learning differences. The mission of the MAX School is to empower the lives of these students who learn differently.

Description:
Festival for children. Features 20 to 25 activity booths and each booth represents a different country with activities that teach children about that country. There is live entertainment throughout the day as well as many food items. Admission is free. All activities and food costs between $1-$5. All proceeds for this event go to CASA of Terrebonne, Inc., a non-profit organization that trains community volunteers to advocate for the abuse and neglected children in foster homes.

Spring It Up Marketplace vendor/craft show is a fundraiser for Schriever Baptist Church. Money raised will go towards our Summer Mission Fund. Over 20 booths, concessions and door prizes every 30 minutes!
The evening will be filled with delectable local cuisine from surrounding chefs and restaurants, unique silent auction packages and items, networking opportunities with emerging leaders in our community and lots of dancing. Good Earth Realty, Inc. proudly sponsors the 11th Annual Ladybug Ball from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. 100,001 ladybugs will be released along with 201 butterflies. Opening ceremony begins at 9:00, Calliope puppets at 9:15, and the ladybug attire contest at 10:00. In the event of bad weather, event will take place on Sunday, April 18th.
Our annual fund raising ride to benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Rides vary in distance from 25 miles to 100 miles. A great change to see the countryside, get some exercise while helping folks. Come join us.
The annual Bonne Terre Garden Fair will be held on May 1, 2010 from 9am to 4pm on the grounds of TARC at #1 McCord Road, Houma, LA 70363 at the Houma airbase. The Bonne Terre Garden Fair is a celebration for gardening enthusiasts. There will be expert speakers including Louisiana's own Dan Gill; vendors selling plants, supplies, and lawn and garden merchandise; kids' hands-on activities; a garden-themed art show and food. Specialists from the LSU AgCenter will be available to answer questions regarding citrus, insects and plant diseases. There will be a soil test station where one can drop off soil samples and have them analyzed for a small fee. Admission is $4.00, or $2.00 in advance; children under 12, free.
