In order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in Terrebonne Parish, a Parish-wide curfew has been jointly implemented by Terrebonne Parish President Gordon Dove, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter, and Houma Police Chief Dana Coleman, beginning April 1, 2020, from 10PM till 5AM and will remain in effect daily until further notice.
John Amedée serves as Councilman for District 4, which covers northern Terrebonne Parish including portions of Schriever, Gray, Coteau, and Bayou Blue.
Mr. Amedée brings to the Council 28 years of experience in the mechanical and heavy construction industry. He comes well-prepared to fill the role of councilman, being familiar with municipal contracts, project management, and funding processes.
Mr. Amedée is a former business owner and an ordained minister serving at Vision Christian Center. He is married to State Representative Beryl Amedée. They have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren.
