About NOFA

The Parkwood Place Affordable Rental Housing NOFA is designed to address the unmet affordable housing need in Terrebonne Parish by providing funds to build rental housing, primarily affordable, within the Parkwood Place Subdivision located in East Houma. The development funded through this NOFA must benefit low-to-moderate income persons and defined qualifying populations.

Eligibility

The NOFA is open to for-profit and non-profit applicants proposing the development of affordable rental units.

How to Apply

The Application packet is provided as in this NOFA. (See Exhibit D). Applications must include Applicant / Company Name & Return Address and must be submitted to TPCG via email to parkwoodnofa2023@tpcg.org

Available Funding

TPCG has allocated the following breakdown of funding for the development of this project:

  1. $800,000 in HUD HOME entitlement funding,
  2. $1,000,000 in HUD HOME-ARP funding, and
  3. $3,000,000 in TPCG general funding.

Friday, March 3, 2023 Response to questions and Publication Date of the Amended NOFA, if needed. (5 working days)
Monday, April 3, 2023 5:00 p.m. CST Deadline for Submission of applications to the TPCG (“Application Submission Deadline”). (30 days)
Friday, April 21, 2023 TPCG award determination. Award letter(s) issued.
Friday, July 21, 2023 Projected latest date for commencement of construction. See §II.E.3.a, Form of AAA.
October, 2024 Estimated Construction Completion, Certificate of Occupancy and Placement in Service (15 months)*
