Commodities Distribution ~ March 2017

Are you a Terrebonne Parish resident in need of commodities?

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Department of Housing & Human Services is offering commodities to low-income families. For more information please call (985) 873-6817.

Anyone interested in applying must go to one of the following sites below during the times listed. You must register at one of these sites in order to receive your food at the first distribution. No applications will be taken at any other time than those listed.

Commodities will be given on a first come, first serve basis to all registered applicants for a particular site. There will no longer be second distributions of food.

Applications will be taken after food is distributed to all registered clients. Clients registering during this distribution are not guaranteed to receive food until the next distribution. Information needed to register is on back of this sheet.

You must provide COPIES of the following documents for us to keep:

  • Social security cards for EVERY member living in your household. Must be paper card issued by social security office. NO PLASTIC or METAL CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • A Driver's License or Picture ID with person's name on it for adults 18 years and older in the household. Handicapped ID's WILL NOT be accepted. It must be an unexpired license or ID.
  • Current proof of income for everyone in household receiving income (Ex. last 4 consecutive check stubs, 2017 social security or SSI printout), 2015 income tax forms if self employed. If you receive unemployment we need the printout for the last 30 days of activity. *Please note: bank statements WILL NOT be accepted as proof of income*
  • Proof of residency if address is not on any of your above listed documents (Ex. Bill or other piece of mail with your name and your physical address printed on it). It must have a name and address on the bill to be accepted and must be dated within the last 30 days.
  • If there is no income in the household we will provide a form to be filled out by the head of household.
