Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Department of Housing & Human Services is offering a Weatherization class to low-income families on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at the main library @ 151 Library Drive, Houma, Louisiana 70360.
The doors will be locked once the class has begun, and no one else will be allowed in. Please call (985) 873-6817 for more information.
What is weatherization?
Weatherization is a federally funded program designed to help make your home more energy efficient by adding weatherization measures such as; insulating attics and walls, CFL light bulbs, weather stripping windows and doors, HVAC maintenance, addressing indoor air quality issues, combustion appliance analysis, and other measures at no cost to you!
You must provide COPIES we can keep of the following information to apply:
current picture ID or driver's license for everyone 18 and older living in the household
social security cards for EVERY member of your household
current proof of income for everyone in your household (ex: last four (4) consecutive check stubs, 2016 social security or SSI award letter, 2015 income tax forms if self-employed)
current electricity and/or gas bill
proof of ownership of your home (ex: mortgage statement, property tax statement, lease purchase agreement, or a legal document giving you permission to live in the home.
If you do not have all the listed information for EVERYONE in the household, your application will NOT be taken and you will have to attend the next class with all information.
