First annual garden fair features vendors, plants, fresh produce, lawn and garden merchandise and food provided by TARC. Admission is $3 at the gate. Children 5 and under are free. TARC will also be showcasing their food, gourmet candy products, bakery products, worm tea fertilizer, salsa and pepper jelly. All proceeds benefit all individuals at TARC with intellectual and development disabilities.

The 60th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 5, 2011. The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, designating the National Day of Prayer the first Thursday in May. The most visible gathering has been held historically at our nation’s Capitol in Washington, D.C. Millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events from coast to coast. Local volunteers and coordinators hold a variety of activities, gatherings and observances, whose purpose is to pray for the well-being of our nation, it's peoples, and leaders.
