The Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter will offer adoptions for $14 from February 11, 2019 to February 14, 2019. In honor of Valentine's Day, the adoption promotion is set around the theme: You can’t buy love, but you can adopt it.

The shelter hours for adoptions are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. The shelter is not open for intake on Saturdays. It is with great anticipation that by offering a reduced price for adoptions that more pets can find homes.

Dozens of animals are currently available for adoption at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter. Pictures of some of the adoptable animals can be found on the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter Facebook page and Petfinder.com.

Adopted animals are provided with the following:

• health exam
• vaccinations
• dewormer
• appropriate testing
• microchip (including registration)
• spay/neuter
• 1 mo. supply of flea prevention
• 1 mo. supply of heartworm prevention (dogs)
• starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet food
