Included in this event will be the distribution of Louisiana Honor Medals. Veterans wishing to receive a Louisiana Honor Medal can pick up the necessary application from the parish Planning Department located on the 4th floor of the Government Tower (8026 Main Street). This form is also available via www.tpcg.org. In addition to this application; veterans are also reminded to bring a copy of their DD Form 214/discharge papers.
“This is an extraordinary honor for the veterans of our area,” stated Parish President Michel Claudet. “It is through their great service and sacrifices that we are able to enjoy the freedoms that we are accustomed to today,” added President Claudet.
