The American Cancer Society will host Relay for Life of Terrebonne Parish beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center. This year's theme is Relay Says Bye-U to Cancer.

Event Schedule:

• Opening Ceremony, 3 p.m. - Located at the South Louisiana Bank Stage. The opening ceremony honors everyone who has been affected by cancer and those who have contributed to the success of this year's Relay season.
• Survivor/Caregiver Walk, 6 p.m. - Survivors and caregivers are invited to take part in the walk while everyone gathers to cheer them on.
• Live Auction, 7 p.m.
• Luminaria Ceremony, 8:30 p.m. - This ceremony will honor everyone touched by cancer. Each light represents a life -- a life taken by cancer, a survivor of cancer, or support for a person still fighting the disease.
• Closing Ceremony, 11 p.m. - The ceremony closes with a commitment to take action and to help lead the fight for a world free of cancer.
