On February 6, 2019, Claude Boudreau of “Les Voyages Disporacadie” visited the Acadia Deportation Monument at the Terrebonne Waterlife Museum, bringing with him a group of Acadian Descendants from New Brunswick, Canada. The Acadian group was greeted by Roger Bourgeois (third from right in the photo below) who led on a group tour of the Waterlife Museum.
The Acadian Deportation Monument located outside of the Terrebonne Waterlife Museum is one of 37 monuments worldwide. We are very fortunate to have one here in Houma.
