On Saturday, April 27, 2019 between the hours of 10am and 2pm, the Houma Police Department in conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will be participating in a drug take back initiative.

TPCG President Gordon E. Dove and HPD are encouraging the community to bring any old, unused medication to the Houma Police Station, located at 500 Honduras Street, place it in a container, so it can be disposed of properly. No questions asked.

This initiative is a way to reduce the misuse of prescribed medication. Often, old medication that lingers in a residence are susceptible of being ingested by the wrong person, which can cause severe problems.
