EMERGENCY CURFEW FOR ALL TERREBONNE PARISH STARTS 10PM ON 7/12

From Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry J. Larpenter:

July 12, 2019

By the powers invested in me as Sheriff and as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Terrebonne Parish, and with the knowledge and approval of Parish President Gordon Dove, I hereby declare that a curfew will be in place for all of Terrebonne Parish between the hours of 10:00 p.m. tonight, July 12, 2019, until 10 a.m. July 13, 2019.

This curfew is deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of the citizens of Terrebonne Parish due to the predictions of the National Weather Service for extremely high winds and torrential rainfall during those hours.

During the curfew only emergency vehicles such as law enforcement, fire department, and medical services will be allowed on the roadways of Terrebonne Parish.

In the event this curfew needs to be extended, a notice from this office will again be made available to the public through all news media for their knowledged.
