In order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in Terrebonne Parish, a Parish-wide curfew has been jointly implemented by Terrebonne Parish President Gordon Dove, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter, and Houma Police Chief Dana Coleman, beginning April 1, 2020, from 10PM till 5AM and will remain in effect daily until further notice.
TPLS to Host Science Rocks Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Main Library

Terrebonne Parish Library will host its annual Science Rocks program on Sunday, September 8, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. at the Main Branch, 151 Library Drive.
Students who plan to enter into their school's science fair are encouraged to bring their science fair hypotheses and any other questions they may have related to their field of choice. The library will host several real-life scientists to answer questions and offer practical advice to students. Scientists include, but are not limited to, chemists, environmental and health scientists, and biologists.
Science Rocks is in partnership with the Terrebonne Parish School District. The event is free and open to the public.
