In order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in Terrebonne Parish, a Parish-wide curfew has been jointly implemented by Terrebonne Parish President Gordon Dove, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter, and Houma Police Chief Dana Coleman, beginning April 1, 2020, from 10PM till 5AM and will remain in effect daily until further notice.

The Voice of the Wetlands Organization announces its 2019 Voice of the Wetlands Festival to be held on October 11-13, 2019, at thePonderosa, 5407 West Park Ave., Houma.
The dates and times are as follows:
Friday, October 11: 6 p.m. till
Saturday, October 12: 12 p.m. till
Sunday, October 13: 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The entrance is 20 yards north of the Patrick Bridge which connects West Main to West Park. People from around the U.S. come to celebrate and experience a taste of Louisiana culture in a small town setting. The festival has and still remains a free event.
This unique festival offers live music, food, craft vendors, a kids' zone, and camping. For a fee, limited space for RV and tent camping is available. Campers can now set themselves up to be in walking distance to the event, making it easier to catch those late night jam sessions.
