The Terrebonne Parish Tree Board is pleased to announce that it has extended the submission deadline for its upcoming Historic Trees Booklet. “We’ve received a lot of great stories and pictures from Terrebonne residents so far. Because we want this booklet to be inclusive, we’ve decided to extend the deadline to allow more residents to submit photos and stories,” said Jennifer Robinson, Tree Board Advisor and TPCG Senior Planner. The Tree Board has already received stories regarding Terrebonne’s famous Courthouse Square trees, as well as other historic trees with lives spanning back 100 years or more. The Tree Board invites citizens and friends of Terrebonne Parish to submit entries for a Historic Trees Booklet that will showcase many of Terrebonne Parish’s historic trees. The Board is looking for stories about each tree and what it means to you, your family and friends for each submission, along with photos of the tree. For more information about this event, you may contact Jennifer Robinson at jmrobinson@tpcg.org or at (985) 873-6567. To see a flyer for the booklet, click here.
