Help the United Houma Nation Receive Federal Recognition

The United Houma Nation has sought federal recognition for decades. The tribe has been recognized by state and foreign governments. The United Houma Nation tribe is attempting to use a petition to gain recognition. Starting on November 1, 2011 a petition will be listed on https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions#!/petition/federally-recognize-united-houma-nation/zNKxrMzb. If 25,000 signatures are attained within 30 days, the petition will be passed through appropriate channels and an answer to the recognition question may finally be given. Please pass this message along. ANYONE AGE 13 AND ABOVE CAN SIGN THE PETITION!!!
