Amended Boil Water Advisory 3-26-2012

Press Release Amended Boil Water Advisory Prepared 03‐26‐12 at 11:00 a.m. Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1 hereby announces that the Boil Water Advisory issued on March 19, 2012, has been lifted for the area along Shrimper’s Row from the Lower DulacWater Tank south to the end of Shrimper’s Row. The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect forthe areas along Shrimper’s Row, municipal address 7544, and southward to the Lower Dulac Water Tank, municipal address 8715 Shrimper’s Row, including all intersecting streets. The Dulac Water Tower is located just north of the Buquet (Falgout Canal) Bridge. Residents within the Boil Water Order Advisory area should continue to boil all water intended for consumption for a period of not less than one minute after the water comes to a rolling boil. Work is expected to take place Tuesday, March 27, in which the water will be turned off and on several times during the day. Water samples will be taken after work is completed in order to conduct laboratory analysis. This Advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure to insure the safety of all citizens in the designated area. The Waterworks District will notify all customers within the Boil Water Order Advisory Area as soon as the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.
