Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet is proud to announce that Houma has been named the Cleanest City among Louisiana cities with a population ranging from 15,000 to 44,999 residents in our region. In winning this award, Houma will now compete for the state of Louisiana Cleanest City title with other cities having comparable populations. The date is yet to be determined for the state level contest; however, the same route from the district contest will be judged. The annual Cleanest City Contest is sponsored by the Louisiana Garden Club Federation with the goal of increasing civic pride and improving the visual appeal of towns and cities in the state. “Winning the Cleanest City contest for our region was truly a team effort,” said Parish President Michel Claudet. “I want to thank everyone involved in making this contest a success as we look forward to winning the state level competition,” added President Claudet. # # #
