DSNAP Location in Terrebonne to Remain Open Two Additional Days The Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) site located at the Bayou Black Recreation Center in Terrebonne Parish will continue to accept applications from residents impacted by Hurricane Isaac until Tuesday September 18. Residents wishing to apply for assistance can visit the Bayou Black Recreation Center (3688 Southdown Mandalay Road) from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The DSNAP site located at the East Houma Bingo Hall has ceased operations and will not reopen. To help expedite the application process, individuals can pre-apply for Hurricane Isaac DSNAP through either online at www.dcfs.la.gov/preapply or www.getagameplan.org or by calling 1-888-LAHELP-U (888-524-3578) 24 hours a day. Eligibility is determined by federal guidelines and is based on an individual's known or expected income, resources (such as cash on hand, saving and checking account balances) and unreimbursed disaster expenses during the disaster period of August 26 and September 24.
