Public Meeting Scheduled for Recreation Planning Houma, La-Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government will hold a public meeting to seek the input of residents on the long term planning of recreational facilities in Terrebonne. This meeting will be held on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at the Houma Municipal Auditorium (880 Verret Street). The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. This public workshop is just one step in the long-term strategic recreation planning efforts for Terrebonne Parish. The goal of the workshop is to identify the recreation needs and desires of residents. The meeting will include a short presentation from recreation design experts. Residents will be encouraged to provide specific feedback on desired programs and facilities. Along with projecting long-term recreation needs, participants will be asked for specific feedback as it relates to the proposed Master Plan for the proposed Terrebonne Parish Community Park.
