As a result of sample testing on August 5, 2015, Naegleria fowerli, brain eating amoeba, was found at the last hydrant on Island Road in Pointe Aux Chenes. Consolidated Water District #1 has begun a free chlorine burn that will last for 60 days. WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK. The public is cautioned to keep water from entering their nasal passages, nostril. You may begin smelling an increase in chlorine. The public is advised to visit our website, www.tpcw.org for additional information.
