Friday February 13, 2009 09:30 am - 2186 Views

The Governor’s Office of Coastal Activities releases their 2010 Annual Plan for Ecosystem Restoration and Hurricane Protection in Coastal Louisiana. The staff has worked tirelessly on this document for the last few months, and believes it reflects well the discussions that have taken place at Legislative Committee meetings and Coastal Protection and Restoration Association (CPRA). There will be an opportunity for the public to comment on the plan until March 27, 2009. After this period of public comment, the plan will be finalized and submitted through the responsible committees and then to the full legislature for adoption. The plan may be reviewed on the internet by clicking on the following link: ftp://ftp.dnr.state.la.us/Large_Data_Requests/Dataset_for_download/New-Folder/ Terrebonne Parish will offer a public hearing on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Terrebonne Parish Council Chambers, Government Tower Building, 8026 Main Street, Houma, La. For more information about the Plan and the Public Meeting contact Leslie Suazo, Terrebonne Parish Coastal Restoration Director, 985-873-6889.
