The Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter is filled to capacity with over one hundred (100) very friendly adoptable cats and kittens; therefore, we are offering a special Cool Catz adoption fee on felines. The shelter will offer adoptions for $15.00 for felines beginning Thursday, June 15, 2017 and ending Friday, June 30, 2017. Adoption hours during the week are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Adoption hours on Saturdays are from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The shelter will not be open for intake on Saturdays. It is with great anticipation that by offering a reduced price for adoptions that more cats can find homes.

The month of June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat month, so we encourage potential adopters to come and meet their new furry friend.

Dozens of animals are currently available for adoption at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter. Pictures of some of the adoptable animals can be found on the shelter’s Facebook page and Petfinder.com.

Adopted animals are provided with the following:

• health exam
• vaccinations
• dewormer
• appropriate testing
• microchip (including registration)
• spay/neuter
• 1 mo. supply of flea prevention
• 1 mo. supply of heartworm prevention (dogs)
• Starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet food
