The Animal Shelter is celebrating the arrival of spring by offering special adoption prices during the Spring Has Sprung adoption event. The shelter is offering adoptions for $25.00 for cats and $50.00 for dogs from April 2-7, 2018. Adoption hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter will only be open for adoptions on Saturday (no intake). 

It is with great anticipation that by offering a reduced price for adoptions that more pets can find homes. Dozens of animals are currently available for adoption at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter. Pictures of some of the adoptable animals can be found on the Animal Shelter's Facebook page and Petfinder.com.

Adopted animals are provided with the following:

• health exam
• vaccinations
• dewormer
• appropriate testing
• microchip (including registration)
• spay/neuter
• 1 mo. supply of flea prevention
• 1 mo. supply of heartworm prevention (dogs)
• Starter bag of Hill's Science Diet food
