The Permits Division oversees guidelines, procedures, and permits for all development within the Parish.

When to contact the Permits Office

• verify items requiring a permit
• request copies of the elevation certificates
• review floodplain permit requirements
• report illegal floodplain development
• request a FEMA/NFIP nonconversion agreement

Building Permit applications can be submitted in person to the Permit Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Building permit applications can be submitted online at any time.

Terrebonne Parish is pleased to announce that a comprehensive offering of the MyGovernmentOnline online permit and inspection software. The software will greatly enhance the permit application submittal and payment experience for contractors and residents. All permit types are now available to apply online except burial permits.
