Before surrendering your pet, we strongly recommend having a veterinarian give vaccines (particularly distemper/parvo and bordetella) to help
protect your pet, as your pet will be stressed and exposed to other animals with unknown medical histories in the shelter environment.
Note: While our team aims for positive outcomes for all animals,
there is no guarantee your pet will be rehomed due to the volume of animals that need our assistance.
As the pet's owner, you have the best chance of finding your pet a new home.

The Inner Pup offers a Training program called Taaka's Training Vouchers for dogs who have behavioral issues and would benefit from training.
Owners are matched with an in-person or virtual trainer that specializes in the issues the dog is experiencing.

The Inner Pup offers a Veterinary Assistance Grant program for incidental and chronic issues that are causing a pet pain and suffering.
This program provides sponsored veterinary visits for low-income owners of pets who are not otherwise able to access veterinary care. These grants are meant to close a
small gap in care and most grantees are approved for $250 worth of care. This program is available for both cats and dogs! See information about the program here and apply here.

It is subject to credit approval, the amount of credit extended depends on your credit rating, and you must make sure the veterinarian you're using accepts CareCredit.
