Rates for Utility Services

Residential

Electric Rates

• Single Phase Meter (ER 100) : $3.00 + 4.5¢ per KWH
• Three Phase Meter (ER 300) : $6.00 + 4.5¢ per KWH
• Energy Cost Charge for the current month is 4¢ per KWH

Gas Rates

• Gas Meter (GR100) : $5.85 + 15.05¢ per 100 Cubic Feet
• Gas Cost Charge for the current month is 40¢ per 100 Cubic Feet

  The fee for installation and connection of gas service lines shall be $2.00 per foot of service line installed up to and including one inch lines. Additional fees may apply. Please call the Utilities Department at 985-873-6750.

Commercial

Electric Rates

• Small Single Phase Meter (EC 100) : $4.25 + 4.3¢ per KWH
• Small Three Phase Meter(EC 300) : $7.25 + 4.3¢ per KWH
• Large-Socket Meter (EC 700) : $7.25 + 2.8¢ per KWH (Customer is billed customer charge plus demand charge.)
• Large-Instrument Meter (EC 800) : $28.00 + 2.8¢ per KWH (Customer is billed customer charge plus demand charge.)
• Energy Cost Charge for the current month is 4¢ per KWH

Electric Demand Meters

• Electric Demand (ED 100) : $5.50 per KVA with no less that 50% of the greatest demand consumption billed for the previous eleven (11) months as a minimum bill.
• Primary Service Discount (ED 200) : $5.25 per KVA
• Specialty Primary Service Discount (ED 800) : $2.00 per KVA
• Energy Cost Charge for the current month is 4¢ per KWH

Gas Rates

• Below Class 750 Meter (GC 600) : 9.00 + 15.05¢ per 100 Cubic Feet
• Class 750 Meter (GC 700) : $12.50 + 15.05¢ per 100 Cubic Feet
• Class 800 Meter (GC 800) : $20.00 + 15.05¢ per 100 Cubic Feet
• Gas Cost Charge for the current month is 40¢ per 100 Cubic Feet

To calculate electric bill:

• Commodity Charge X Electric Consumption + Customer Charge = ER or EC Charge
• Energy Cost Charge / Fuel Adjustment for Month X Electric Consumption = Energy Cost Charge
• ER or EC Charge + ECC / FA = Total Electric Bill

To calculate electric demand charge:

• Demand Consumption X ($5.50 for ED100, $5.25 for ED200, $2.00 for ED800) = Demand Charge

To calculate gas bill:

• Commodity Charge X Gas Consumption + Customer Charge / Minimum Bill = GR or GC Charge
• Gas Cost Charge / Fuel Adjustment for Month X Gas Consumption = Gas Cost Charge
• GR or GC Charge + GCC / FA = Total Gas Bill
