The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library will host their annual Spelling Bee Saturday, November 2, at the Main Library (151 Library Drive).
Grade level and all-age competitions will have prizes for winners in each category and a supporting competitive environment for all.
Participants can sign up 30 minutes before their level competes on the the day of the event:
Level 1 (Grades 1–2) $2 (9:30 AM)
Level 2 (Grades 3–4) $2 (11:00 AM)
Level 3 (Grades 5–6) $2 (1:00 PM)
Open Competition (All ages) $3 (2:00 PM)
Proceeds from the Annual Spelling Bee will go towards the Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library to help provide high quality programming for the community. School-aged children are encouraged to participate for an interactive learning experience, and adults can compete in our open competition at 2 pm.

Come out for the 40th Semi-Annual Southdown Plantation Marketplace. Enjoy hundreds of booths featuring unique handmade crafts, fine art, seasonal decor, gourmet food, wood crafts, pottery, jewelry, clothing, toys, candles, and home-grown plants. Kids will love the petting zoo, face painting, and sand art, while live music by Southern Drifters adds to the festive atmosphere.
Don’t miss the Cajun Food Court, which offers delicious options like jambalaya, crawfish pies, po’boys, and beignets. Admission is $5.00, and kids under 12 enter for free. All proceeds benefit the Terrebonne Historical & Cultural Society and Southdown Plantation & Museum.
Come out for the 6th annual Pastalaya Cookoff and 7th annual CWSA Open Car Show. Event includes arts and crafts vendors, music from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., raffle, auctions, food, and drinks.
Events promote children's water safety.

Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, similar to Relay for Life, but instead focusing on a fun day for you and your dog! Event includes vendor booths, food, games, contests, and prizes. Dogs must be six months of age or older. Click the link for more.
A day honoring veterans. Free admission, light lunch, and tours of the museum. The Mulberry Elementary School and 4-H Club will present a short program at 10:30 a.m.
