Department of Public Works Awarded $150,000 Strategic Planning Grant from Delta Regional Authority
The Terrebonne Parish Department of Public Works is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $150,000 through the Strategic Planning Grant program from the Delta Regional Authority (DRA).
This funding will be used to develop a comprehensive transportation plan that will record and classify road conditions throughout the parish. The goal is to create a proactive system for prioritizing road repairs before they escalate into costly emergencies, ultimately improving safety, efficiency, and infrastructure longevity for the community.
Developing a proactive transportation plan will create data-driven decisions, stretch resources further, and better serve the people of Terrebonne Parish.
The plan will help identify critical infrastructure needs, streamline maintenance planning, and support long-term transportation improvements across the parish.
