Storm Warning: Last Stand for America's WETLAND 12:00 pm - 12:00 am
Location: Houma Downtown Marina
Description: Vessels from East and West Louisiana will meet at the Houma Downtown Marina and raft up to form a flotilla demarcating the front line in the battle to save America's WETLAND. The event will feature live music by local celebrities, a boat parade, food, games and fun for the whole family both on water and land. Everyone is invited to participate in this event, by submitting a letter for their congressman on why they should make saving Louisiana's coast a priority.

Organization: La-Terre Master Gardeners
Description: The La-Terre Master Gardeners and LSU AgCenter, in cooperation with the USDA Experimental Station, will hold a Vegetable Field Day (formerly known as Tomato Field Day) at the USDA Experimental Station on the corner of Lafayette St. and Hwy. 311 in Houma, LA. Time: 9 AM to 12 Noon. It will feature the display and tasting of 25 tomato varieties, eggplant, squash, sweet peppers, cucumbers, and green beans. The event is geared to the home gardener with much discussion and free horticultural information. There will also be a tour of the USDA facility and a contest for the largest and the ugliest tomato.
