Southdown Marketplace is a one-day arts & crafts festival featuring more than 300 local and national vendors with unique hand-made products including jewelry, clothing, woodcrafts, original art, garden items, seasonal products, and more. $5 admission; 12 and under free.

The 2nd Annual Roux For A Reason Gumbo Cook-Off is a friendly team competition that seeks to provide free early cancer screenings to all members of our community in partnership with the Mary Bird Perkins Early Bird mobile medical clinic of TGMC. Volunteers will be provided with trash bags and pickers to clean up our bayous. Each participant will get a T-Shirt and a thank you after party from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at each location. The Downtown Marina group will be in kayaks and have a vessel from the Regional World War II Museum. Come see!
Race-day registration and packet pick up opens at 7 a.m. First wave of runners start at 8 a.m. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome. Make your way through four color stations along the 5K route. At the finish line, you’ll be colorful from head to toe. Don’t forget to grab your color packet as you cross the finish line. Every 15 minutes you’ll have a chance to join the crowd for a huge color toss. T-shirt guaranteed if you register by March 4. Registration is $35 until March 1. After March 1, price increases to $45.
