Regional hall of fame induction banquet for six local athletes either born or educated in Terrebonne, Lafourche, or Assumption Parish. Tickets are on sale now. Banquet proceeds will directly benefit the Foundation's drive to purchase a mobile medical clinic/blood mobile.
Houma's Independence Day Celebration. Food and craft booths, children's activities, Veteran's memorial tribute, guest speaker, live music, and a fireworks show. Free admission. No alcohol allowed on grounds.
Terrebonne Parish resident Barbara Celestine is to lead the discussion with details from her own experiences in researching the rich histories of local families. “Researching African American Genealogy” will also invite back keynote speaker Antoinette Harrell, a genealogist and historian renowned for her work in African American studies. Celestine and Harrell together will explore the many different resources historians can use in genealogical research.
The Houma-Terrebonne Community band presents it's Annual Patriotic Concert, conducted by J. Stephen Potter and Karen Dusenbery. Featuring musical selections such as: "Armed Forces", "Pride of America", "Stars and Stripes Forever March", "United We Stand", "Red, White, and Brass", and many more!
4th of July Senior Social (60+). Lunch will be served, and music will be provided by Rockin' Oldies Band. Tickets are $2.00 and should be purchased in advance.

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government observes 11 regular holidays throughout the year. Public Transit buses will use the weekend schedule during all observed holidays. Garbage collections are suspended/cancelled on New Year's Day, Mardi Gras Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day only. Youth vendors are invited to participate in Houma's first business fair for children. Kids will develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing stragety, then open for customers at our one-day market place. 25 booths will be hosted.
