The Dulac Pontoon Bridge was hit by two tugboats towing a barge at approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. The bridge will need to be drydocked for repairs. Parish President Gordon E. Dove has declared this as an emergency and advises that it will be repaired as quickly as possible to return to service for all local residents and commercial traffic that uses the bridge.
