TPCG Making Recycling Easier For Residents

Wednesday March 17, 2010 02:16 pm - 2324 Views

Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet would like to announce the relocation of the Plant Road recycling bin to the parking lot of the East Houma Shopping Center/Bingo Hall found on Grand Caillou Road. This more convenient location allows for easier access to those residents wishing to drop-off their household recyclables. The locations of the additional five recycling bins are unchanged and are as follows: •Bayou Cane Fire Station (6166 West Main Street) •Concord Shopping Center (1238 Saint Charles Street) •Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center (346 Civic Center Blvd.) •American Legion Hall (602 Legion Avenue) •Little Caillou Fire Station (5016 Highway 56) Residents are also reminded that these bins accept paper, plastics, and aluminum recyclables in a single-stream fashion; there is no need to separate or bag your recyclables. “Our recycling program is a critical component in our parish wide beautification vision,” explained Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet. “We are working diligently to make our recycling program convenient and accessible for all residents,” added President Claudet. # # # To review press release in its entirety, Click here
