SLECA Update about Subdivisions off Hwy 182 / September 11, 2021

From our friends at SLECA:

For those customers in Terra Cane, Barrios, Plantation Gardens, Mulberry, Cottonwood subdivisions:

Terra Cane, Barrios, Mulberry, and Plantation Gardens are normally fed from our West Houma Substation on Bayou Black. We are still currently waiting on reliable transmission feed to that station. The line was tried last night but had to be turned off. Further repairs are needed. Mulberry and Barrios have sustained a lot of damage due to downed trees in fenced in back yards. Crews are having to go yard to yard to cut trees and replace lines and poles. This is a slow tedious process and will take a while to clear up, so even if we can get the main line up it will still be a while before we can add power to these subdivisions.
