TPCG Emergency Operations Press Release - 10:30am

TPCG Public Works Department has confirmed that all pumps continue to be operational with additional portable pumps online. TPCG has moved the shelter to the Houma Municipal Auditorium with the assistance of the Red Cross currently the shelter is not housing any residents. Please bring everything you will need to be comfortable including bedding, food and prescription medications. At this time 100 houses are confirmed with flooding but we continue to take reports of flooding. We are asking individuals whose homes have received water to call the Office Of Emergency Preparedness at 873-6357 to provide FEMA to trigger assistance. TPCG has set up two new sandbag locations at the Coteau Park and the Bayou Black Fire Station on Savanne along with the Adult Softball Complex airbase and at the Cannatas on the west-side at 6307 West Park. Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government continues to monitor water levels, operation of pumps, and the weather with the National Weather Service. Houma Police Department is issuing updates on road closures hourly by separate email.
