Pollution Control

Pollution Control manages, operates, and maintains your wastewater utility. Pollution Control is divided into Collection and Treatment. Each section is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of the following:

Collections

• sewer collection lines
• transport lines
• pumping stations
• holding basins
• oversees expansion of the wastewater collection system

Treatment

• wastewater treatment facilities
• ensuring that all wastewater discharged from parish facilities complies with state permit effluent limitations

Personnel are on call 24 hours per day to respond to your service needs. Should you have any questions or experience a problem with your wastewater utility, call the office during normal working hours or (985) 873-6537 after hours.
