What we do
The Coroner's Offics promotes safe and livable communities by certifying the cause and manner of death for all homicides, suicides, accidents, and sudden/unexpected natural deaths in Terrebonne Parish. In addition, provide related forensic services, assistance, and education to families of the deceased, as well as to public agencies, in a professional and timely manner.

Death Investigation
The Coroner's Office holds investigations concerning the manner and cause of any deaths that are sudden, unexpected, resulted from violence or accident, under suspicious or unusual circumstances, and other deaths pursuant to LA R.S. 33:1563.
