On November 30, 2022, Mr. Alvin Tillman was appointed by the Terrebonne Parish Council to serve as Interim Councilman for District 1 until a primary election can be held on March 25, 2023 and a general election can be held on April 29, 2023. These elections will be to determine a Councilperson for District 1 who will complete the current unexpired term, with additional elections on October 14, 2023 and November 18, 2023 being held to determine who will serve as Councilperson for District 1 for the upcoming four-year term.
