Event is on public property?
Events on public property require a Public Property Use Permit. If you have not already done so, please apply for the permit either by visiting the Permit Office at the Government Tower at 8026 Main Street, Ste. 100, Houma, LA 70360 which is open Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or any time online at www.mgoconnect.org. Event has DJ or live music?
Amplified sound over 70 db may require a Sound Permit. If you have not already done so, please apply for the permit either by visiting the Permit Office at the Government Tower at 8026 Main Street, Ste. 100, Houma, LA 70360 which is open Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or any time online at www.mgoconnect.org . The Letter of No Objection is issued for special events where alcoholic beverages are sold or supplied as part of a general admission. The Letter of No Objection grants permission to the applicant to sell alcoholic beverages during the Special Event. An applicant should begin the application 14 days prior to the event. Once the Letter of No Objection is written, the applicant must use it to apply for the Louisiana State Special Event Permit.
