Terrebonne CARES!


Terrebonne parish residents impacted by the coronavirus pandemic may be eligible for assistance with rent, mortgage, and utility costs through CARES Act funded programs. The Terrebonne Parish Department of Housing and Human Services is accepting applications for assistance. To apply, complete the application and attach copies of all applicable items on the appropriate documentation checklist.

Eligible Applicants

  • Renters that have a written rental agreement and an established utility account;
  • Homeowners that have a current mortgage with a financial institution and documentation of homestead exemption; and
  • Households that have been evicted for non-payment of rent and are now homeless or at-risk of homelessness.

FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred on or after January 20, 2020.
