Here is an update concerning the ongoing heavy rain and gusty winds thru this evening into tonight,
Changes since Morning Update:
A Wind Advisory is now in effect for coastal areas thru Midnight.
The Gale Warning has been expanded west to include all Gulf waters.
Overview:
Ongoing axis of heavy rain persisting across the Southshore to northshore locations, delivering 1 to 3" rain rates. A Flood Advisory is in effect for portions of the Southshore until 8PM, and will be monitoring for any additional flooding potential thru the evening.
Additionally, gusty winds persist, with strongest winds primarily along the coast. A Wind Advisory is in effect for coastal areas.
The back edge of the precipitation shield is approaching from the west, but we will be keeping a close eye on the potential for another round of strong, gusty winds on the back side as most areas dry out overnight tonight into early Sunday.
