Public Notice of Intent to Apply for Program Income Disposition Funds

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government has prepared a Program Income Disposition Application for submission to the Louisiana Office of Community Development – Disaster Recovery Unit.  The application requests $3,000,000.00 to fill a financial gap for the Parkwood Place Affordable Rental Development project. This proposed project will develop ninety units of affordable rental housing that will be located at Superbowl Drive and Saints Circle, Houma, Louisiana 70363. The application will be available for review beginning Monday, September 15, 2025, and ending Tuesday, October 7, 2025.  It can be viewed at either the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Department of Housing & Human Services located at 4800 Highway 311, Houma, Louisiana 70360, Monday thru Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or at tpcg.org/hhs.

A public meeting will be held at the Mechanicville Gym located at 2814 Senator Street, Houma, Louisiana 70363 on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to allow residents the opportunity to obtain information, ask questions and provide written comments.  All comments must be submitted to Kelli Varnado, Department of Housing and Human Services Director by 4:00pm Tuesday, October 7, 2025.  Written comments may be submitted at the public meeting, via e-mail at kvarnado@tpcg.org or delivery to the Department of Housing and Human Services at the address listed above.  All written comments will be considered by Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government prior to submitting the application to the Louisiana Office of Community Development-Disaster Recovery Unit.  Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government encourages the participation of all citizens, particularly those who are low-income, disabled, minority, non-English speaking; and those that live in substandard housing or blighted neighborhoods.
