The Annual Spelling Bee returns to the Main Library with grade level competitions and an open competition for all ages.
The entry fee is $1 for grades 1-6 and $2 for open competition. Winners will receive prizes, and all participants will have the opportunity to compete in a supportive environment.

At the event, residents can recycle the following items:
• All computer-related electronics, including desktops, laptops, telephone systems, servers, gaming consoles, and more.
• Banking, legal, and other important documents.
• Clothing items.
• Mardi Gras beads and aluminum cans.
America Recycles Day is an initiative aimed at encouraging and educating individuals on how to be more mindful of what they consume, where to recycle, and how to properly return valuable materials for reuse in their everyday lives.
Fashion show to be held at the new Rotary Centennial Plaza! VIP tables available. General admission is $35.00.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held earlier in the day beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the doors opening at 10 a.m.

TGMC presents Farmers Market at the Marina. The event will host local food trucks and vendors selling a variety of items such as vegetables , homemade sweets and candles, honey, bread, etc.
This event is free and open to the public.
Terrebonne 4-H will host a clover hunt for 4-H members. Members will meet on the steps of the Courthouse Square at 4:30 pm. 4-H prizes will be given. An adult must remain present with the 4-H member.

The Houma Elks Lodge #1193 is excited to announce the return of its annual Duck Derby and Inaugural Duck Extravaganza on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Downtown Houma. The festival is a fun-filled day for all ages, featuring a duck derby race, craft vendors, a duck hunt (scavenger hunt), a Quack Pot Showdown (a crockpot cookoff), and more.
The Houma Downtown Business Association has raised the funds to bring Live After 5 back to Downtown Houma. MJ & Jerry will play in the Rotary Centennial Plaza from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Good Feeling will follow at the Courthouse Square from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

MacDonell Children's Services in partnership with the Annual Houma-Terrebonne Downtown Christmas Parade
Description:
The Celebrate the Child Event will take place from 2 to 6 PM at the Rotary Centennial Plaza. The kid zone will have free crafts and Santa pictures. Terrebonne Parish Library will host story time from 3 to 4 PM. Christmas trees entered into the Christmas tree decorating contest will be on display in the Courthouse Square. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The Annual Houma-Terrebonne Downtown Christmas Parade will roll at 5:00 PM. The parade will begin at Terrebonne High School and continue down Main Street. The parade will end at the corner of Barrow and School Street. The tree lighting ceremony will begin around 7:30 PM on the Courthouse steps and will include TPCG Administration along with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
