Monthly GAS Tip: Smell a Gas Leak?
Gas Distribution reminds everyone to use natural gas with care. Raw natural gas is normally odorless, but an added rotten egg odor allows us to detect it.
If you smell the odor of natural gas indoors at any time:
- Leave the building immediately.
- DO NOT operate or use ignition sources such as lighters, light switches, phones, and cars.
- Reach an area away from the natural gas odor, and immediately call your gas provider OR 9-1-1.
