CDBG Funding Public Comment Period
Gustav/Ike Recovery Draft Application, Public Comment Period:
The Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government is releasing the Gustav/Ike Recovery Draft Application for public comment. Terrebonne Parish will receive at least $67,000,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to assist in rebuilding the parish after the hurricanes plus $10,000,000 specifically for affordable rental housing in the Parish. There will be a second round of funding in the future that could be as much as $55,000,000.
The Parish is required to develop a plan for spending these funds and has done so after two public hearings and a comment period on the proposed projects. The application will be submitted to the state for approval following the public comment period.
