Shell Presents Downtown on the Bayou Sept. 28 & 29
Shell presents Downtown on the Bayou, held in downtown Houma starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
Come out and enjoy:
- Local bands: Music starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday with Ascribe Praise Band and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday with Creative Music 4 Kids. See the Downtown on the Bayou Music Lineup flyer below for the full musical lineup.
- Jambalaya and pastalaya cook-off: Cook-off starts at 7 a.m. on Saturday; food is served at 11 a.m.
- Real Cajun wedding: The wedding will start at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the courthouse square.
- Car show: All day Saturday with awards given out at 3:30 p.m.
- 5K: Starts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
- Craft vendors and more throughout the event.
Proceeds from this event will be dispersed to local music programs for the purpose of purchasing and repairing instruments, as well as other learning materials. Come out and support a festival that is by locals, for locals.
