Downtown Houma Exercise Park Pilot Program Saturday, October 24
A new exercise park is coming to Downtown Houma. On Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., residents can test the future park located at the water fountain across the bayou from the Waterlife Museum.
This park will act as a circuit with 12 workout stations using objects in the area, such as benches, steps, and bicycle racks.
Each station, represented by a temporary sign, will provide a suggested number of reps, instructions, illustrations, and a QR code that can link residents to a video on how to do the exercise.
Representatives from Live Healthy Houma and the LSU AgCenter will be on site with a short survey for all participants.
Once the pilot is completed, the temporary signs will be replaced with permanent signs.
