TFAE Annual Run for Excellence to Be Held on May 7
TFAE's Annual 5K Run for Excellence and Food Festival will be held with registration and packet pickup beggining at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in downtown Houma near the Courthouse Square. For pre-registered participants, a pre-race packet pickup will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on May 5, 2022, at Papi Cheo in downtown Houma.
The schedule of events for race day is as follows:
- 3 p.m. - Registration and packet pickup
- 3 to 4 p.m. - Battle of the Bands at the Courthouse Square
- 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. - Brianna & Evan Live at the Courthouse Square
- 5:20 p.m. - Warm up with the TGHS Sports Performance Center
- 5:45 p.m. - Second Line - Runners line up on Church Street
- 5:50 p.m. - Runners move to Main Street
- 5:55 p.m. - Ainsely's Angels lead the pack
- 6 p.m. - Race starts
- 6:20 p.m. - Festival opens after first funner crosses the finish line
- 6 to 10 p.m. - Dance the night away with Hacienda Brass Band
- 8:45 p.m. - Awards and announcements
