HFD & BCFPD Celebrate First Graduating Class of the Joint Firefighter Recruit Academy
The Houma Fire Department and the Bayou Cane Fire Protection District joined forces in March to conduct the first ever Houma Fire Department and Bayou Cane Fire Protection District Joint Firefighter Recruit Academy. The academy session began March 23, 2022, and culminated with the graduation ceremony on June 22, 2022.
Check out the photo below from the graduation ceremony. The photo shows the fire chiefs along with the academy graduates. From left to right: Fire Chief Corey Henry , Destin Lausen, Shaun Voisin, Amber Patton, Jared Heller, Devin Bousegard, Troy Rodrigue Jr., Fire Chief Ken Himel. Recruits in white shirts are from the Houma Fire Department, and the recruit in blue is from the Bayou Cane Fire District.
